7-day returns window from the date of delivery.
How It Works
The Return Process
Contact Us
Email hello@museofthanu.com with your order number and reason for return within 7 days of delivery.
Approval
We review your request within 2 business days and send you a return authorisation with instructions.
Securely Pack
Wrap the saree in its original muslin cloth and packaging. Include your order slip inside.
Ship It Back
Courier to our Chennai atelier. We recommend an insured, trackable service — return shipping is at the customer's cost.
Inspection & Refund
We inspect the saree upon arrival. If approved, a full refund (excluding original shipping) is processed within 5–7 business days.
Eligible for Return
- Item received in damaged or defective condition
- Item significantly different from the description
- Wrong item delivered
- Unused and unworn items with all tags intact
Not Eligible
- Items worn, washed or altered
- Sarees without original tags or muslin wrap
- Items returned after 7 days of delivery
- Custom or made-to-order pieces
- Sale and clearance items
Refunds
Refund Policy
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned item.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping is at the customer's expense unless the item was defective or incorrect.
For exchange requests (size, colour within the same style), please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate, subject to availability.
Damaged on arrival?
Email us within 48 hours with photographs. We will arrange a full replacement or refund at no cost to you.
Changed your mind?
We understand. Contact us within 7 days — the item must be unworn, unaltered and in original condition.
